Christmas, the festival of food, fun and family, is celebrated on December 25 every year. It marks the day of the birth of Jesus Christ and is celebrated by millions of people across the globe.
The festival is even more special for children who look forward to decorating their Christmas trees and all the presents they would receive from Santa Claus. Excited families make sure decorations for their Christmas trees are in order. 
Some families also put up Christmas stockings, lights and tinsel around their homes. Come December, many children draw out the list of presents they would want Santa to bring them on Christmas.
But the festive spirit of Christmas isn't just for children alone. The adults are in on the merrymaking too. Several people participate in Nativity plays and also get together with friends and family to sing festive Christmas carols. 

 This is usually followed by a grand feast where loved ones break bread together. Christmas is also a time for people to spread cheer and joy, especially with those less fortunate. Christmas mornings are usually spent opening gifts, a tradition that follows wishing one another a Merry Christmas.

Commonly known as  function keys  on a computer keyboard, F1 through F12 may have a variety of different uses or no use at all. The operating system installed on the computer and the software program that is currently open dictates how each of these keys operate. A program is capable of not only using each of the function keys, but also combining the function keys with the  Alt  or  Ctrl  key. Government notifies Wetland (Conservation and Management) Rules 2017.

Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change (MoEFCC) has notified new Wetland (Conservation and Management) Rules 2017 to prohibit range of activities in wetlands. The new rules will replace earlier rules notified in 2010.  Wetland  Wetland is transitional land between terrestrial and aquatic eco-systems where water table is usually at or near surface or it may be land covered by shallow water. It supports rich biodiversity and provides wide range of ecosystem services such as water storage, water purification, flood mitigation, erosion control, aquifer recharge etc. There are 115 wetlands officially identified by Central Government and of those 26 are identified as wetlands of international importance under Ramsar Convention (an international intergovernmental treaty for conservation of wetlands to which India is party).  Wetlands are threatened by reclamation and degradation due to activities like drainage and landfill, pollution, hydrological alteration,...

Rajnish Kumar new SBI chairman as Arundhati Bhattacharya retires

Rajnish Kumar, 59, the senior most of the managing directors at State Bank of India (SBI), will become the 25th chairman of the country’s largest lender, succeeding Arundhati Bhattacharya, who is set to retire on 6 October. The government on Wednesday announced his appointment for three years. Kumar currently is in charge of retail banking at SBI. Kumar’s appointment comes at a time when SBI’s profitability is under strain because of ballooning bad loans and sluggish credit growth. At the end of June, the bank was weighed down by gross non-performing loans of Rs1.88 trillion. Gross bad loans account for almost one-tenth of its total advances. SBI is also the lead bank in a majority of the 40 cases referred for bankruptcy proceedings at the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT). “Asset quality is a challenge.
